broken brick wall

Repetition
of shape and lines
forms the impression
of a unified whole.

Variation
in color, texture,
size and position
highlights the plurality
of the parts.

A structure
seeming so solid,
exposes its fragility
in its bends and cracks.

  1. Sorry for my vulgarity, but this is a mouth-orgasm of a piece! One of the things I love best is when an author uses phrases that are fun to say…phrases that roll off the tongue. Nearly every line in this poem had my tongue dancing in delight and anticipation. My favorite line was “highlights the plurality”. Nice job, loved this.
