While we live on the East Coast of the United States, our partiuclar town is quite far from the coastline. It’s sadly rare that we take the kids to see the ocean. Last August, following an overnight stay in New Hampshire to have Theo’s birthday at Canobie Lake Park, we made a detour the coast before heading home. Here are some photos from our largely unplanned day at Salisbury Beach.
Looking over the colorful beach crowds.
This week’s friday foto finder challenge was to share photos on the theme of “coast.” Coast on over to the friday foto finder blog to see what other coasts have been cast.
Wonderful. A day at the beach is always well spent. Especially when you find buried treasure like that :)
Ha, those are great! Here is my favourite coast in Spain…

Classic beach day!
How I miss the beach. No one in my nuclear family likes the beach – not husband, nor boys. It is a great sadness of mine.
Beautiful! One of the things on my summer bucket list last year was going to the beach, but we never made it. Hopefully this year!
I’m curious; what type of camera do you use? I want to acquire a new camera, but I’m not sure what I should look for. Any advice?
All of these were actually taken on my iPhone! I have been very impressed with what a good camera it has.
I also took photos with my real camera that day, but not as many turned out. It is relatively cumbersome, plus it can be hard to see the screen in bright light such as we had at the beach. My real camera is an Olympus EP-1, from 2009, and I love it. It is a very manageable size (bigger than a point-and-shoot, but smaller than a DSLR), and I love that I can change out the lenses.
I love the look on buried Theo’s face!
