We’re back home now, after our week-long trip to California. It was a good trip, but tiring, and I’m glad not to be having any more big trips on the horizon.
I have some work deadlines looming now, so I can’t write much till I get a few things done. But here’s a picture to distract from the continuing lack of content:
(Yes, we did let Phoebe drive the rental car. But we didn’t let her get on the freeway.)

jeez, do they let anyone take that on the freeway?
(even though I don’t endorse this sort of behavior) if you ever get pulled over, I think those baby blues could blink a ticket away.
She looks adorable behind the wheel. :)
Glad you had a good holiday!
That is a pretty damned cute chaffeur!
they’re so advanced in california…
i’m kinda with De here…maybe it’s just the angle of the pic, but that car looks way too cute & tiny to make it on the freeway regardless of driving skillz. but yeah, that super grin could get her mom out of a world of trouble.
i’m pretty sure that the driving age in california is ONE, as we have a similar picture of MQ in CA when she had just turned one.
De-
I didn’t really investigate the California driving laws too carefully. But Phoebe is such a careful driver, I wasn’t too worried.
dragonfly-
Aw, thanks.
flutter-
Chauffeuring is just one of her many fine talents.
magpie-
I know. They grow up too quickly there.

I guess the car was a bit small (a PT cruiser), but it’s big compared to our Minis. (And we haven’t let her take a Mini out on the road. Our state has strict laws about driving while still in diapers.)
painted-
Oh, good! We had the driving age beat by a whole year, then. (And I’d love to see MQ behind the wheel!)
