001:365 A wild raspberry from my yard in a shiny bowl.
I have signed on to participate in Project 365, a project which encourages people to learn to count past 364. I keep counting up to about 12, and then I get distracted by something shiny. Why just the other day, I was looking in the fridge to see how many eggs we had and then hey look somebody dropped a dime. I wonder how many dimes I have? Maybe I’ll count them. Did I ever mention that I once had a dime collection? They were shiny.
Where was I? Oh, right. Project 365. A project wherein/whereby/wherefore/whatif/whatwasIsaying people take (at least) a picture a day, and share a picture a day online. The lovely Sue has rounded up a crew to join her in this daily shutterbugginess. I have joined the crew. I’ve never done crew before. I hope this isn’t too strenuous. My freshman roommate was in crew. She had to run a lot. Every day. I can’t run to save my life. And certainly not every day. Hopefully I will be able to manage to take and share photo every day, and hopefully it won’t need to be to save my life. (As far as I know, there are no fatal consequences of missing a day, but perhaps I didn’t read all the fine print.)
I don’t plan to inflict all of my photos on you here. (Just some of them.) If you would like to see all of them, I’ll be aiming to put them up daily on my shiny new Flickr stream. Oooo, shiny.
Wow! Shiny!
also, yummy! Wild raspberries in your yard? Lucky.
Also, funny post! Thanks for giving me a good nighttime giggle.
In sum: shiny, yummy, lucky, funny.
I love that summary, Sally.
And I do feel lucky to have the wild raspberries in our yard. I’d seen occasional berries around for years, but last year, the tangle of canes around the former garden started producing serious quantities. (There are occasional benefits to living out in the boonies. And, apparently, to being a neglectful gardener.)
u r funny
Thank u.
Lovely! I like it. A lot. How did you get the shadow to do that?
Ah, the shadow. Well, I don’t use a flash. So the shadow is from the nearest light source, which in this case is the light over my stove. The shadow is sharp because the light is only about 2 feet away.
Oooh the bowl is shiny! The raspberry looks delicious too. So many bloggers are very talented photographers. I have a hard time making any of my photos look as though I didn’t take them whilst jogging or something. It’s not good.
Nice to meet you Alejna! Looking forward to seeing what your year looks like!
What does come after twelve?
Shiny!
I used to be on a crew team. Indian runs were the worst kind of hell. I’m pretty sure this crew is going to be way cooler. And, with some math tutoring, easier to manage.
The reflection of the raspberry somehow looks like Jello. Yum.
I’ve joined the crew, too!
I love this shot. T has been asking for interesting photos of food to adorn her walls. This would complement the collection nicely.
I love this idea! Though I probably won’t follow the Flickr feed as I find that place confusing. Anyhow, fabulous first shot.
I considered joining this for about a nano-second before remembering that a blog post a day is quite enough (along with the other social media stuff).
Good luck!
I really wanted to participate, but I didn’t think it was prudent to make another commitment when I’m facing my first semester of full time, day student, university undergrad. I think things will be dicey enough. LOL!
I look forward to seeing your photos, though!
