Ha! You know, I make that typo so often, I can’t even see it! Even in your comment, I read it at first as “2012.” Or maybe I really did travel 90 years into the future…
Indeed! The Storm King Storm Drain does fit in well in many ways with its setting. (I like that expression, nomen est omen. I confess I had to look it up!)
I’ve always wanted to photograph the drain in the floor of my dentist’s rest room. Sounds wacky, of course. But it is interesting like the ones that you’ve captured. Maybe the next time I go I’ll think to do it. You’ve inspired me.
And also in 2102? Awesome.
Really love the leaves in the last image.

Great. That last one looks like nomen est omen, no? It certainly seems to be in the right place. :)

Ah, sorry, I only found this now. I was too lazy to look up the English equivalent, which is why I used one more familiar to me. :D

Oh, please do! I’d be tickled to think that I had inspired others to also photograph drains. Not many people can make that claim!
Indeed. You are most special!
Cool.
Thanks, Rima! I just fished your comment out of the spam filter. Scary place to go looking, that.
Nice trio! I feel like I may have seen some photogenic drains at some point too. I’ll have to try to think where.
Thanks, Sally! I’d love to hear about and/or see your photogenic drains when you come across them.
i love those. i think they’d be nice framed up as a triptych.
Thanks, Magpie! That’s an interesting thought.
These are great shots, just the sort of things that makes me reach for my camera too.
